Funeral services for Sylvia Yvonne Jones, 89, of Lake Village, AR, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. There will be a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Leland-Stoneville Cemetery. She passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at her home.
Sylvia was born in New Site, MS, to Kyle and Mary Rorie. She attended school at Linn High School. In 1952, she married James Jones. She was a lifelong member of Chicot Missionary Baptist Church. Sylvia loved to crochet, knit, and sew.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James, and three sons, James David Jones, Jeffrey Allen Jones, and Thomas Lamar Jones.
She is survived by two sons, Timothy Michael Jones of Loogootee, IN, and Anthony Dale Jones of Lake Village, AR, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
