Funeral services for Theresa Louise Evans Kirby, 63, of Greenville will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 19, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. The family will receive friends from noon until service time at the funeral home. She died on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Burial will be in Lakeview Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Theresa was born to James and Peggy Evans in Greenville, MS on September 19, 1960. She lived in Greenville all of her life and attended Deer Creek School. She was retired from the United States Postal Service.
She was affectionally known as T, Twit, and Grammy. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews crafting, cooking, and most of all singing.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Evans, and a brother, James Evans, Jr.
Theresa is survived by her husband, Thomas (Tommy) Edward Kirby of Greenville, MS; four sons, Dale Wilson of Jackson, MS, Craig (Jessica) Allen of Jackson, MS, BJ (Brittany) Shields of Jackson, MS, and Thomas (Mary Ashton) Kirby of Greenville, MS; mother, Peggy Evans of Jackson, MS; sister, Lisa (Robert) Walls of Jackson, MS; 4 grandchildren, Adelyn Kirby, Reed Kirby, Sydney Shields and Phoenix Shields and a host of nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.
