Memorial services for Thomas (Tommy Chiz) Chism, 80, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home in Leland. There will be a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. He passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
He was born on January 25, 1944, in Crowder, MS to Wyatt Chism and Mary Jo Wright Chism. Tommy spent most of his life farming, even driving harvest trucks during the last harvest season at the age of 79. He was also a welder.
Tommy loved his family and spending time with them.
He is preceded in death by his parents Wyatt Chism and Mary Jo Wright Strong; a daughter, Pamela Chism Sullivan; sisters, Janet McCann and Little Betty Chism and a brother, Bud Chism. He is survived by his daughters, Janet (Ronnie) and Lynn (Allen); son-in-law, Mike; five grandchildren, Mary (Adam), Matthew (Morgan), Angela (Adam), Lindsey Rena and Mikey; eight great-grandchildren and sisters, Irma (Pat), Jimmie (Johnny) and Becky (James Lee).
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
