Timothy Lee Davis

Graveside services for Timothy Lee Davis, 67, of Leland will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. He passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at his home. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.

He was born in Greenville, MS on June 2, 1953 to J. Lee Davis and Kathryn Hollis Davis. He attended Greenville High School until his senior year, graduating from O’Bannon High School.

He was married to his high school sweetheart, Linda Donald Davis for 46 years making their home in Leland. Mr. Davis was a builder and loved to be hands-on on a project from start to finish, whether it was a building or a deer stand. He retired from F. L. Crane and Sons Construction Company and he helped build many of the casinos in Mississippi.

Mr. Davis was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved taking his grandchildren and great nieces and nephews fishing or just to play in the lake.

He is preceded in death by his parents, J. Lee Davis an Kathryn Davis. He is survived by his wife, Linda; two sons, Christopher L. Davis (Sandra) and Nicholas B. Davis; two sisters, Lynette Praytor (Robert) of Ridgeland and Tillie Davis Rogers of Greenwood; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Renee Donald; and four grandchildren, Sarah, Ian, Christopher and Laci and three nieces and one nephew.

There will be a visitation from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.

Pallbearers are Danny Tharp, Curtis Shaw, Joey Manna, Ben McGee, David Rainey, and Dwight Donham, honorary pallbearers are, Keith Chunn, Larry McGee and Steve Redwine.
