Memorial services for Vanessa Greer Davis age 48, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. There will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. She passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at Delta Health-The Medical Center surrounded by her loving family
Vanessa was a devoted nurse whose life was defined by her compassion, strength, and unwavering dedication to caring for others. Whether comforting a patient or supporting a loved one, she gave her heart freely and fully.
She was also deeply adventurous and had a profound love for the outdoors. Whether hiking through the woods, spending time with animals, or simply enjoying the quiet beauty of nature, Vanessa felt most at peace when she was outside. Her special bond with animals, especially horses, reflected her gentle soul and deep empathy for all living things.
Despite the challenges of recent years, Vanessa faced her illness with resilience and grace, surrounded by the care and love of her devoted family.
She is survived by her two children, Julianna Paige Davis of Birmingham, Al. age 23 and Charles Logan Davis, age 22, who is in the Army and stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas, her father, Bert Greer of Hollandale her sister, Valarie Righmer of San Antonio, Texas, her grandmother Marjorie Felts and Aunt Dee Jones and Aunt Jo McCorkle as well as a large extended family who will carry her spirit forward.
She is preceded in death by her mother Priscilla F. Greer, Grandparents Juanita & Leon Greer and Winford Felts.
Her memory will live on in the laughter, love, and lives of all who knew her.
Vanessa will be remembered not only for her strength and brave personality but also for her adventurous spirit and the joy she found in the natural world.
