Funeral services for Virginia Faye Sandifer Burns Berry, 91, of Leland are Friday, January 25, at the Leland United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM. She died Saturday, January 19, 2019. Burial will be at Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
A native of Rolling Fork, Mrs. Berry was the daughter of Robert Horace and Harriet Reynolds Sandifer. She leaves two sons, Robert Allen Burns (Lea Ann) of Houston, Texas and Gary Sandifer Burns of Edwards, Mississippi and two grandsons, Allen McMurphy Burns of Forest, Mississippi and Graham Bucklen Burns of Houston, Texas. She also leaves one sister, Vivian Janice Sandifer Rochelle of Greenville.
Mrs. Berry was a graduate of Delta State University and taught for 19 years at Rolling Fork High School. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Leland United Methodist Church.
There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday at the church.
