Our Mom and Dad opened the first Shipley Donuts on Washington Ave in 1959. They worked very hard for years raising a family and feeding breakfast to Greenville. They loved their customers. Later after she retired and sold the business to her youngest son Wesley McGaugh, she enjoyed going to First Baptist Church and being with her friends. She was also nominated for Angel of the month in 2005.  That is where she met and married Norris Vest on January 21, 2006. They enjoyed 10 wonderful years together before he passed away in June 2016.

She was a wonderful servant of God. She loved taking care of the elderly and she would visit people that had no one visit them. She was a beautiful, caring , kind and loving lady. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and mostly by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved her deeply.
