Funeral services for Wanda Dees, 72, of Hollandale will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Hollandale Baptist Church. She passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. Burial will be in the Hollandale City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
She was born March 15, 1947 in Yazoo County. Wanda was the youngest of 14 siblings and is survived by her brothers, O. G. Branning, Tommy Branning and Jackie Branning and her sister, Elaine Bechtelheimer. She is also survived by her daughter, Debbie Vogt, granddaughter Lela TenEyck, and her great grandchildren Vivvie and Bergen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Dees and 9 of her siblings. Wanda leaves behind a multitude of family and friends.
Wanda was an educator having attended The Mississippi University of Women and achieving her master’s degree at Delta State. She was a faithful member of Hollandale Baptist Church..
There will be a visitation for the family from 9:30-10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church and for friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
