William Charlie “W.C.” Woodruff

Graveside services for William Charlie “W.C.” Woodruff, 85, of Glen Allan, will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at County Line Cemetery. He peacefully passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville, MS.

He was born in Marked Tree, AR, and graduated from Glen Allan High School in Glen Allan, MS. W.C. made his living farming in the Mississippi Delta, logging numerous flight hours, spending time “at work” deer hunting, and restoring and collecting vintage automobiles. He was an active member of Glen Allan Methodist Church. In 1982, W.C. married Mary Hunter, and they began a lifetime of farming, snowmobiling in West Yellowstone, spending time on Lake Washington with their blended family, and
watching sunsets on the beaches of Marco Island, FL with Michelob Ultras in hand.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lauwanna Woodruff; brother, Rodney Woodruff; and wife, Mary Woodruff. He is survived by his three daughters, G.G. (Scott) Northington of Deatsville, AL, Deborah (Jeff) Whitney of Alpharetta, GA, and Bendi (David) Saindon of Houston, TX; two sons, Scott (Carol) Hunter of Glen Allan, MS and Steve (Mitzi) Hunter of Glen Allan, MS; thirteen grandchildren, Jacob Van Northington, Yanci Northington, Chase Whitney, Connor Whitney, Alexander Saggi, Samuel Saindon, and William Saindon, Ashley (Adam) Gober, Jason Hunter, Jeremy Hunter, Brandon Hunter, Tanner (Ashlyn) Hunter, and Parker Hunter; and four great-grandchildren, Mia Gober, Nora Gober, Graham Gober, and Helen Hunter.

The Woodruff family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Donna Jones for her unwavering friendship and invaluable support during his final days.
