William Kenneth Ellison, 72, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026 in Batesville, MS at AMG Specialty Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Born on November 14, 1953, in Shaw, MS, Kenny was the son of William Floyd Ellison and Gussie Ellison. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1971 and went on to begin a career in the oil field, eventually retiring as a driller.
Though Kenny was a man of few words, he never met a stranger. He was known for his fierce honesty and always letting you know where you stood, his witty sense of humor, kind-heartedness, and willingness to help anyone in need. His favorite things to do were hunting and fishing with his friends.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Teresa Ellison, and children Jimmy (Shelley) Harvey, Rylee; and Robin (Charlton) Smith, Hannah, and Addison. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gussie Ellison; father, Floyd Ellison; one brother; and four sisters.
Kenny leaves behind a legacy of integrity and grit. Those who knew him best will always remember his firm belief that anything worth having requires hard work and his refusal to take the easy way out. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him
