William Steven Siddon

A memorial service for William Steven Siddon, 48, of Wayside, MS, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, at the Riverside High School gymnasium. He died Sunday, May 13. Interment will be at the County Line Cemetery, Glen Allan, MS, following the service. 

Steve was born on June 3, 1969, in Greenville, MS. He was the son of Bill and Patricia Siddon. He attended the Leland Public Schools through the 6th grade, followed by graduation from Deer Creek School, Arcola, MS. Upon graduation from high school, Steve entered the United States Navy. He spent 20 years proudly serving his country. Upon his retirement, he was employed by Western Line School District as head of maintenance of Riverside Elementary School. He attended Avon United Methodist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Siddon, his maternal grandmother, Catherine Wilson, and his paternal grandmother, Mary Siddon. 

Steve is survived by his wife, Janet M. Siddon, his mother, Patricia Siddon, two children, Amanda Watt of Dallas, Texas, a son, Robert Siddon of Yuma, Arizona, and five grandchildren, Kaitlyn Siddon, Lizabeth Siddon, Evie Siddon, Rory Siddon, and Ricky Watt. He is also survived by the staff and students of Riverside Elementary School whom he loved dearly and who loved him. 

There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at Riverside High School gymnasium. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the music fund at Avon United Methodist Church, Avon, MS.
