Funeral services for Willodean Hawk Bouler, 93, of Leland will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14 at Boone Funeral Home, Leland. She died Sunday, January 12 at Bolivar County Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will follow in the Leland-Stoneville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bouler received her education in Thomasville, Alabama. She graduated with honors and was loved by all her classmates. She worked as a bookkeeper for Leland Oil Works retiring after 30 years. She shared her talents of decorating, flower arranging, decorating, handwork, and cooking with her many friends. She was a good listener to all who sought her wisdom. All ages were her companions as she was always cheerful and loving.
Mrs. Bouler was preceded in death by her parents, Roan and Nora Hawk; her husband, LeeRoy Bouler; 2 brothers, Mitford Roan Hawk and Mason McClain Hawk; and a son-in-law, Richard Arlen Davenport.
She is survived by a devoted daughter, Roanne B. Davenport, of Leland and son, Don LeeRoy Bouler (Tillie) of Cleveland; 4 grandchildren, Dana Bouler Eddins, Cindy Upshur, Donna Brown, and Richard Davenport; 4 great-grandchildren, Rob Upshur, Sloan Upshur Gibbs, Anderson Eddins, and Logan Brown; and 4 great-great-grandchildren, Lyla Gibbs, Amanda Upshur, Willow Upshur, and Lana Upshur.
A visitation will be held one hour before the services Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
